PALAEONTOLOGIA CATHAYANA as an English journal of palaeontology and stratigraphy published non-periodically by Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology,Academia Sinica,is devoted to the publication of papers on all aspects of palaeontology,stratigraphy and palaeobiogeography.These papers,including review articles,short papers on description or discussion,of important fauna and flora,are originals of great value with fine illustrations.Besides,this journal also provides,as timely as possible,the news about palaeontoiogical and stratigraphical researches being done or under way in this institute and even in this country,and sometimes introduces important English versions selected from Chinese originals previously published.
